Biography: Created sometime between Age 750 and 756, Cell is a conglomeration of various cells extracted from several fighters around planet Earth including Goku. The creator, Dr. Gero, intended Cell to be his ultimate creation a being to consume humanity and his future androids to become perfection. But thanks to his former pupil and friend Gerald Robotnik, Gero was detained while he stole Cell and several schematics regarding Cell and the androids. Then later Gerald disappeared from Earth no matter how hard he searched. He gave up and started from scratch again which produced better results than his initial designs which lead to androids 16-19 and eventually 20 as himself. He left Cell's production in the hands of his supercomputer. As for the Cell now on Mobius, he was taken up to Space Colony ARK and was grown to his first form which is akin to an Earth cicada but because of an accident on the ARK, Cell escaped and caused a rampage aboard killing several scientists and people. He was able to shed his first form on the ARK and turned into his Imperfect from, after he was secured, he was locked away in a sealed room in the ARK only later to be jettisoned to Mobius by Rogue the bat in Age 866 before the ARK exploded.
In the same year Dr. Ivo Robotnik found Cell's containment pod after GUN picked it out of the ocean on their aircraft carrier. Robotnik learned about Cell and his next form and yearned to have it under his control. He put a control chip in Cell to ensure he does not betray him if he becomes too much to handle, then he had the bio-android brainwashed to serve him and not his former master Dr. Gero. Dr. Robotnik then fed Cell processed flickies and captured mobians to power him up as best as he can. Over the next two years, Cell had plenty of energy to fight with incredible power plus that and his already present power. Initially he was supposed to absorb Metal Sonic, Spark Sonic, and Steel Sonic with all the data collected from battle, but when things went south when Metal Sonic Zero was the final result. Dr. Robotnik did not waste time and awoke Cell to return to the battlefield with Cell.
The question now is whether Cell will become perfect or not at the end of the battle between Sonic, Metal Sonic Zero, and himself....

This version of Cell maybe less genetically diverse, as he lacks Frieza's, Vegeta's and King Cold's DNA. But that doesn't make him any less dangerous.
