Description
This might be a tough cookie to understand, so if your confused, let me know in the comments. BUT WHO CARES?! SUPER SAIYAN!!!
Ahem, basically, Metal Sonic, as we already know him to be, is a robot built out of the hatred for Sonic through Dr. Robotnik, and that hate was added on after Robotnik left him for scrap on Little planet 7 years ago. As he changed, morphed, and rebuilt himself, his main CPU, the location of all his hatred, is where his AI and the hatred resides in, came with each reformation. It was until now he has started to realize what he is, and what life he is living, he lives to destroy, he's a machine of mass destruction, something he doesn't want.
I'm not going to say what it is, but through his dialogue, you can see what he truly wants, and Goku knows it, and is going to give it to him.
Whether it works or not... is dependent on how it all goes down.

Metal: No sé de dónde has sacado esa idea absurda de que yo renunciase mi venganza sobre Sonic, Robotnik y el resto del mundo. ¡Despierta y contempla la verdad! No hay nada de bien dentro de mí. Como le dije a Sonic antes, soy una personificación de odio, la de Robotnik. Está dentro del núcleo de mi propio ser, estoy hecho de puro odio hacia Sonic. Su imagen me atormenta, por eso estoy tan empeñado en matarle. ¡¡¡Y con toda tu energía, os mataré a ti y a Sonic, al igual que al resto de seres de este patético planeta!!!
Goku: No puedes dejar que ese odio acumulado dentro de ti tome todas esas malas decisiones… ¿Acaso no has intentado, ya sabes, eliminar ese odio dentro de ti e intentar vivir una vida mejor y pacífica? Lo vi en tus ojos, tú no quieres una vida así…
Metal: ¡CÁLLATE! ¡Yo sé lo que soy, soy un error! ¡Abandonado, olvidado, dejado sólo con odio hacia los seres orgánicos y a mí mismo! ¡¡¡Así que sí, quiero una mejor vida, una sin Sonic, sin Robotnik, sin SERES ORGÁNICOS!!! Todos me odian y yo los odio a todos… ¡¡¡INCLUIDO A MÍ MISMO!!! Sé que este odio desaparecerá cuando no haya nada que odiar, MATARÉ Y DESTRUIRÉ A TODOS!!! Entonces… Finalmente, podré estar en paz…
Goku: Hablas como si sólo hubiese una manera de liberarte de ese odio que ha estado consumiendo quien realmente eres. Si realmente ese es el caso… ¡Entonces tendré que liberarte!
